Καὶ εἶπαν πᾶς ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Σαμουὴλ, πρόσευξαι ὑπὲρ τῶν δούλων σου πρὸς Κύριον Θεόν σου, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνωμεν, ὅτι προστεθείκαμεν πρὸς πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν κακίαν, αἰτήσαντες ἑαυτοῖς βασιλέα.

And all the people said to Samuel, Pray for your slaves to the Lord your God, and may we not die, because we have added wickedness to all our sins, having asked for ourselves a king.
