Καὶ περιβλέψαντες οἱ κάτοικοι Γαὶ εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐθεώρουν καπνὸν ἀναβαίνοντα ἐκ τῆς πόλεως εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν· καὶ οὐκ ἔτι εἶχον ποῦ φύγωσιν ὧδε ἢ ὧδε.

And when the inhabitants of Ai looked around behind them, they saw smoke ascending from the city into the heaven, and they no longer had anywhere to flee, here or there.
