Καὶ ὠργίσθη θυμῷ Κύριος ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραήλ, καὶ κατερόμβευσεν αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τεσσεράκοντα ἔτη, ἕως ἐξανηλώθη πᾶσα ἡ γενεὰ, οἱ ποιοῦντες τὰ πονηρὰ ἔναντι Κυρίου.
